Reflections # 79 - "Leaving it Behind"-={On}=- [Corridors SB 47] He looked out of the window on one of the many decks on the Ithaca Class Starbase, there he saw the badly damaged Pegasus. The ship he controlled, he flew out of danger. "It will be different, a starbase…" T'Rell said turning around to B'Inca, who just closed their quarters. They were going to visit Vulcan, visit family and see old friends. She picked up her suitcase, "I agree, but you will still be able to fly." B'Inca said to T'Rell. She too looked out of the windows, seeing the Pegasus. "You will be chief over all the vessels that are coming in and going out. Imagine the ships you will see," she continued. T'Rell looked up, nodded faintly and together they walked off towards the turbolift. The doors slid open, and the two Vulcans stepped inside, "Shuttlebay 27." T'Rell said. Not too long afterwards the doors opened again, about 50 meters from the doors to Shuttlebay 27. The two walked inside, seeing several shuttles docked. In the middle was the transport "Nashua" to take T'Rell and B'Inca to Vulcan. A little over 30 people were inside the shuttle, most of them were Vulcan, but there were some other species on board the transport. T'Rell saw at least one Bolian, two Denobulan and a couple of humans. Some time went by, when T'Rell and B'Inca decided to go for something to eat. They got seated across the two Denobulans, who just picked up their dinner. The couple, called Picea and Betula, were married. Betula is Picea's third wife. The four talked a while. "If you will excuse me, I'm going to my quarters to do some meditation. Will you join me, B'Inca?" He asked. Both stood up from their chairs and both took a small bow towards Picea and Betula. A huge smile, common with Denobulans appeared on their faces as they said goodbye. There wasn't much light in the room, only a few candles were lit throughout the room. Both were seated on a pillow in the middle of the quarters. On the last few missions T'Rell didn't sleep very well, due to the fact that he meditated less, because he was busy working on helm. He knew in those two months of shore leave he could sleep better, only because he would meditate more. [Vulcan – T'Rell's family residence] T'Rell opened the door to the family residence. His father and mother both walked towards their son to meet him. "It is agreeable to see you father, and you too mother." He said, after putting his suitcase down on the ground. B'Inca followed after T'Rell, "It is agreeable to see you" Koss said to B'Inca. They proceeded towards the living room, which was decorated in a typical Vulcan style. "Tea?" P'Tah asked. "Please" T'Rell said, and also the other agreed with him. Not long after that P'Tah walked into the living room with four cups of tea on a platter. "Thank you, mother." T'Rell replied. After tea, they talked about the missions T'Rell and B'Inca had been in, what happened on those missions. The four Vulcans also talked on what happened on Vulcan. T'Rell went meditating again, as if there was something on his mind. B'Inca stayed in the living room with T'Rell's parents.
