Personality:

Like any Tellarite he loves a good argument. That was one of his main reasons to become a barkeep on a Starbase. A chance to meet a lot of different people to have a (verbally abusive) chat with. Loses his ‘Tellarite cool’ when he’s around beautiful women.

History:

Skol has been working in a bar since his youth. His father also owned and operated a bar his entire life. Skol started working in his father’s bar when he was only 12 years old. He cleaned the bar and spoke with the guests. Later he went on serving orders. At this young age he learned the special, almost competitive way of having a conversation. He could hold his own in a debate with much older Tellarites, mostly because his so called competitors were under the influence of alcoholic beverages. For being such a good debater his father encouraged his to go into politics.

After the Tellarite equivalent of high school he went on to study politics at the Main University in the capital city on Tellar Prime. Among debating skills and diplomacy he learnt several languages like Andorian, Vulcan and off course Federation Standard. To earn a sufficient income to support his studies he worked in a local bar.

Soon after he completed his studies he went on to join the local political party. He enjoyed great popularity among the people for his manner of speech. He was very straight to the point. Something unheard of then in the Tellarite political community. In the few years that followed he went on to become the youngest leader in the history of the party. He was only 26 years old when he ran the election against two competitors. But those competitors weren’t there to debate on the major issues. They were hungry for power. They used every dirty trick in the book to have Skol discredited. It worked, Skol was forced to resign.

After the political disillusion Skol returned to the business of his father, ultimately taking over the bar a few years later when his father retired. Skol instantly sold the bar to take the business elsewhere. He decided to use his skills to open a bar on a Federation Starbase, to meet some other people than Tellarites to have a good conversation, the Tellarite way. After a rather successful business on Starbase 343 for several years he decided to try his luck on the recently built Starbase 47.
