That's my Q #68, 69 - Wherefore art we?

ON: Juliet awoke with a start. She shook her head to clear it, and looked out the window. <T'is dark. I wonder if my Romeo has kept his promise to visit me.> <<My Romeo? What the...where am I? Who is this? >>

Romeo, or at least, he felt like Romeo, though being a teenager again certainly felt odd and altogether familiar to Jesse. He looked up and saw a beautiful young woman on a balcony.

"What light though yonder window breaks?" He said and immediately admonished himself mentally for whatever gibberish had just spewed forth from his lips.

"Romeo?" Juliet's voice called from the balcony. <> "Jesse, is that you?" Hannah managed to say, after some effort. "Dost thou...uh...do you know what's occur...going on?"

"Juli- uh I mean... Hannah? What hath happ- uh... I got no clue... I only know... Uhm Q!" Jesse sputtered after a while, trying to stop himself from sounding like a bad actor.

"Get thy behind up here right now, Mister." Hannah said, in frustration. "And do not tarry in thy approach...or I'll tan your arse so hard you won't be able to sit down for a week."

"Yes ma'am." He said and looked around, frowning and finding a trellis to climb.

"Of course you WOULD have to be a Capulet, the enemy of mine family and blood, thus preventing me from walking through thy front door." He grumbled.

"Well then use thine big muscly arms, and climb yonder wall or something."

"Yeah... yeah... yeah..." He said, hoisting himself up on the trellis, scaling it slowly as he moved to the balcony.

"A little help prithee oh wonderfully helpful Italian maiden who has captured my heart?" He said as he hung from the balcony.

"Uh...honey - I'm an Italian maiden - they didn't build us for fortitude." She sighed, but walked over and yanked him onto the balcony anyway.

He grunted as he pulled himself up and landed with a thud! on the floor of the balcony.

"Remindeth me to worketh out in the ship's holodeck." He muttered.

"That's if we ever get back." Hannah helped him up, and gave him a kiss. "Recompense for your troubles."

He kissed her gently and nodded.

"I'll expect a week in the sack for my troubles helping us to get back to our own time and get rid of Q." He said in only a half joking manner.

"Please - with all those teenage hormones running through you, you're hoping for ten minutes right now." she laughed.

"I can last a lot longer than ten minutes thank you very much... You know that for a fact." He grinned and patted her rear as he headed into the room.

"Oh, that's it? You just gimme a slap on the rear and then enter mine bedroom?" Hannah raised an eyebrow. "Thy romantic approaches are in need of much attention."

"Our current predicament demandeth more of my attention than your feminine desires for my manhood dearest. We can play when Q hath been dealt with." Jesseo said with a nod.

"Feminine..." Haliet shook her head. "Dear one, you are in serious trouble whence we return to the Base." She sat upon the bed. "What hast thou in mind?"

"We playeth this whole scenario out... We know the story, so we just do what the story says, except I won't really drink poison and you really won't stab yourself." He said with a nod.

"And that'll fix it?"

"Q tests us, then lets us go, he doesn't keep us imprisoned." He said with a nod.

"I never really studied such a being." She confessed. "You're sure of this?"

"It's in Starfleet's psychological profile of him." He said with a nod.

"How do you psychoanalyse an omnipotent being?"

"With his knowledge." Jesse joked and smiled a bit as he sat on the bed beside her.

She snuggled up to him, suddenly aware of how cold the room was with just her low-cut nightdress on. "This frightens me, Jesse - what would happen, perchance, if we were to make a mistake?"

We could end up dead... Which is why we're going to have to play this exactly as Shakespeare wrote it, only I'm not going to poison myself..." He told her.

"Ok..." Hannah said, pulling herself together. "I can do this."

"Wrong... We can do this." Jesse said and squeezed her hand as he cuddled her.

"Whatever did I do to deserve you?" Hannah smiled, and kissed him again.

"I'm not sure. But whatever it was, I'm glad you did it... my Juliet." Said Jesse with a smile.
