A Mirror Shattered #153,154 - "License and registration please..."ON: [Wherever, whenever] It's funny how two people who have never met, let alone are aware of each other, can look and act alike, and lead very similar lives. Take Alyson Cooper, for example. Daughter of Alexia Jones and General Richard Cooper. Twenty-three years of age. She works the day shift as Captain's yeoman. She works the night shift as barwench. She enjoys a good dry martini during the night shift. She also goes to work completely stoned, because she has become reacquainted with heroin and cocaine. She is occasionally called Pixie. In the other corner, Candy Cooper. Daughter of Alexia Jones and General Richard Cooper. Twenty-three years of age. She works the day shift as barwench. She works the nightshift as a stripper. She enjoys a good dry martini during the day shift, and another during the night shift. She also goes to work completely stoned, because she has never parted ways with ketracel-White. She's occasionally called Special K. It's peculiar. With the exception of the ketracel-White, the life Candy currently leads is the life Alyson used to lead. Tonight, their actions will change them. God only knows if it will be for the better or the worse. Alyson is getting high on heroin. Again. Sticking a hypospray on her neck, where the drug will instantly seep through her bloodstream. The only difference with other nights is…she's had too much of it tonight. Candy, on the other hand, is begging her dealer to give her some k-White. She hasn't paid him for the last few doses she bought. The prices had increased dramatically in the past year or so, and she had said last time that she'd need a few more days to pay him back. Those few days have come to pass, and she has already depleted her supply, is begging for more, and doesn't have the money. Not for this supply. Not for the last one, either. She's already suffering from the common withdrawal symptoms. It's only been three hours. Alyson is suffering the usual overdose symptoms; she has a dry mouth, her fingernails are turning blue, she's disoriented and suddenly dizzy, and eventually, she will be unconscious, and her breathing will stop. Candy, on the other hand, is suffering from the usual k-White withdrawal symptoms; extreme pain, everywhere from her head to her toes, severe paranoia. She's becoming delusional. The pain is becoming excruciating…eventually she will be unconscious, and she will die from the pain, even though she can't feel it.
