• Personality: Nalash has a very easy going, overall happy, personality and she always tries to stay on the good side of people. This character trait she doesn't make her choice for Science any more obvious, but she likes to surprise people. Although she looks good she is not arrogant or really picky about how she looks, she does care a lot for her hair though, that's also why having a bad hair day makes her cranky. Also she dislikes science jobs that mess up her hair, which are most of the interesting jobs anyway.

History:

Being born on Earth as a daughter to two Orion refugees who were seeking asylum after crossing paths with the Orion Syndicate, for safety reasons Nalash was taken away and into protective custody by the Federation and Starfleet, the names of her parents are not known to her on anyone else at this time.

After being handed over to the Federation by her parents she first got raised in a foster family, of course by the time she became conscious enough she noticed that both her parents were not green, like she was. At first she thought something was wrong with her but after her parents explained it to her at the age of six she was at peace with it. Until the age of twelve she showed no interest in her biological parents.

When she was sixteen, though, her parents let her go on a wild goose chase to find her parents. Every time she felt she was getting close to an answer something happened that put her miles away again. But she did find out why her parents gave her up and did not feel anger towards them knowing they did it for her own safety.

She finished school, quite high in her class, she never needed to do very much for school and everything came to her very easily. After graduation, in her eighteenth year, she immediately enlisted for Starfleet, her foster father had been a Security officer for almost all his life before taking an administrative job on Earth after the Dominion war, she wanted to make him proud and follow in his footsteps.

The reason she became Enlisted is that her 'father' always told her that these people were the real men and women of Starfleet, they were the ones keeping everything going while the Officers sucked up all the glory. Real honour and satisfaction was made in the Enlisted career path not that of an officer.

After finishing the two years of Enlisted training Nalash applied for a position on the first ship she could find. She was taken in as Science officer on the USS Gemini, a Galaxy class ship, where she worked for three years before being advices to transfer in favour of being given a higher position.

She took this advice and applied for the open position of Scientist's Mate, on the recomissioned Centaur-class vessel the USS Pegasus. She got accepted and has stuck with the crew ever since.

After returning from the mirror-universe, where Nalash found herself working as a black-jack-croupier in a casino run by an old familliar, she happily accepted Captain LaBrie's offer to transfer to Starbase Ronin with him, and most of the Pegasus-crew.
