Family History:
Generations of Scotish ancestry with other Northern European nationalities have been tracked back into the early 1600's. The McPhearson Clan and the Robertson Clan are two prominent clans on the northern shores of Scotland. A family of shepards, fighters, and thieves, the ancestry of John the Third has been one full of twists and turns. In the years before the first world war, the McPhearson Clan split, moved south, and joined the Queen's Navy. Until the First World War in the early 20th century, the McPhearsons were not a popular clan in Scotland. However, after the Second World War, they joined Parliament and gave a voice to the old Scottish Clans. For years, the McPhearsons continued as politicians, remaining true to their Scottish ancestry and marrying throughout the clans as to keep the blood mostly Scottish.

Up until the Third World War, this remained true, until globalization finally took hold of one of the final true Scottish Clans and Irish, Norse, and European families began to marry in. For years, the McPhearsons remained one of the most prominent Clans in Scotland.

As time went on, the importance of Clans died out, and the McPhearsons evolved into a Military family. Generation after Generation was born to serve in the Navy, birthing Captains, Admirals, and Chiefs for over two hundred years.

With the advent of the Federation and Starfleet, the McPhearsons took to the sky and the stars. The latest addition, John McPhearson III, is a scientist, focusing on the weather, who eventually decided to follow in his father's footsteps.

Personal Background: John McPhearson III was born in Glasgow on October 24th, 30 years prior. He was born into a fairly rich household in Glasgow, near the Glasgow Spaceport. His father, John Jr., was a prominant pilot in the Federation. Retiring a Full Commander at the age of 48, John Jr. was the commander of the RNZ's Starfighter Division. As such, he was not around much in order to raise his son.

An only child, John McPhearson III was raised almost entirely by his mother, Elise McPhearson (Robertson), until he turned 14 years old. His mother passed of a massive stroke, leaving John on his own. With a little money from his Mother along with a lot of pressure from his Father (who he rarely saw), John III graduated from High School two years early, and at the age of 16, entered the workforce.

Soon thereafter, he entered Glasgow University, and studied for four years as a Meteorologist. There, he met an Elizabeth Sadler, who quickly became a romantic interest. In four years, they were married, and by Graduation, they had their futures planned.

However, three weeks after graduating, Sadler was involved in a transportation accident, putting her in a coma, and eventually killing her after 4 months from massive brain damage. This sent John into a depressed state for over a year, and sent his life into a downward spiral.

For over a year, John became an alcoholic and a regular at many of the local pubs and bars in Glasgow. After being involved in an altercation and confronted about his condition, his father retired from Starfleet and returned home. He also confronted John III and pressured his son into a life of the Military.

Not long after he joined the Academy did his depression lift. His love for Flight overran his love for Meteorology, and in 6 years graduated from two schools with two degrees and multiple piloting certifications and credentials.

After spending some time in the Sol Sector as a freighter escort, John III is now given the opportunity for a new path in the Marines. Highly qualified in atmospheric conditions, John was offered commission as a Marine Element Leader, John plans on joining up with Starbase Roonin as their new Marine Officer soon to continue his career in Starfleet.
